FAQ
Can I lose my deposit?
No. Your principal is tracked separately from the prize pool and is always returned to you after the round settles, regardless of whether you win. The worst outcome is that you save money and earn nothing extra this round.
How is the prize funded?
The prize comes from ShMON staking yield — the consensus-layer reward generated by Monad’s proof-of-stake mechanism. Nobody loses money to fund the prize. The staking layer generates it passively.
What is the probability of winning?
Your tickets divided by total tickets in the round. If you buy 50 tickets and there are 500 total, your probability is 10%. Probability is strictly proportional and linear — no bonuses, no tiers.
Why does withdrawal take 7 days?
The 7-day wait is the ShMON unstaking queue — a constraint from Monad’s staking protocol, not an EverDraw design choice. Your MON is staked via ShMON while it’s in the vault, and the unstaking process takes approximately 7 days to complete. Phase 2 of EverDraw’s roadmap (continuous TWAB deposits) is designed to abstract this wait time away.
What if no one buys tickets in a round?
The round is skipped cleanly by the keeper. No funds are at risk. A new round opens normally.
What happens to unclaimed prizes?
Unclaimed prizes roll forward to seed the next round’s prize pool. There is a claim window displayed in the UI. Principal withdrawals have no deadline.
Is the draw fair?
Yes and verifiably so. The draw uses blockhash(targetBlockNumber) % totalTickets. The target block number is committed on-chain before the block is mined, so no one — including the keeper, the team, or block producers — can know the winning ticket in advance. The full draw calculation and result are recorded on-chain and independently verifiable.
Is EverDraw audited?
Not yet. A formal audit is planned and budgeted. See the Security page for details on what has been validated and what is in progress.
Can I buy tickets from outside the EverDraw UI?
Yes. The contract is fully verified on MonadVision and all write functions are publicly callable. You can interact directly via the MonadVision “Write Contract” interface or via any Ethereum-compatible library using the published ABI.
Is there a token?
No EverDraw token exists currently. Governance and token plans are reserved for a later phase of the protocol.
Why Monad and not another chain?
EverDraw’s yield source is ShMON — Monad’s native liquid staking token. This yield comes from Monad’s consensus mechanism and doesn’t exist anywhere else. The protocol’s alignment with Monad’s staking security is structural, not cosmetic. EverDraw couldn’t exist in its current form on any other chain.
Can protocols run prize campaigns through EverDraw?
Yes. EverDraw’s CampaignManager lets any Monad protocol fund a branded prize campaign with a simple treasury transfer. The protocol defines the prize, draw frequency, and eligibility criteria. EverDraw handles draw execution, winner selection, claims, and frontend integration. No contract changes or audit required on the protocol’s side. See For Protocols for details.
What is the CampaignManager?
The CampaignManager is a smart contract (shipping in Phase 2) that enables protocol-funded prize campaigns. Protocols call createCampaign() to set up a campaign, fund it with a token transfer, and EverDraw’s infrastructure runs the draws automatically. It’s designed to give protocols a turnkey alternative to airdrops and points programs — recurring prize-based engagement instead of one-time token distribution.
Does EverDraw have a house edge?
No. 100% of staking yield goes to the prize pool in the current architecture. EverDraw does not take a fee from prize vaults in Phase 1. A small protocol fee is planned for Phase 4 when the permissionless vault factory launches — applied to yield flowing through the factory, not to user deposits.
